PURPOSE:To immediately issue a card on which a new identification number is recorded by utilizing an automatic teller machine by causing a password number rewriting means to set the password number recorded on a personal identification card to a new password number inputted from a customer operating section in accordance with the command of a control section. CONSTITUTION:When a card owner selectively inputs 'password number setting' from the customer operating section 1 of this machine after inserting the card into this machine and inputs a new password number in accordance with the instruction of this machine with the object of setting his own password number, a card handling mechanism section 2 newly sets the new number or renews the old number to the new number in accordance with the rewriting command of a control section 4 and returns the card to the customer. Therefore, the card owner can immediately change his password number. |
