A device for supplying extra steam in a steam flat-iron with a water container 7 and an electrically heated sole 1 having an evaporation chamber 2, comprises a dropper valve for freeing and interrupting the water supply by rotation of a water inlet 13, in a valve body 6, and a regulator needle 16 situated in the dropper nozzle 15, by the lifting of which out of the nozzle 15 extra steam is generated. It is the aim of the invention to realise, with the simplest means and few components, a dropper valve with extra steam device which works according to the above-stated principle, is simple to fit, favourable of cost and also of low susceptibility to faults, and can easily be inspected, cleaned or replaced by the user. To achieve this, the needle 16 is hooked, for the purpose of axial movement, in a leaf spring 19 which also takes over the function of retention and return of a lever 18 which is snapped into a handle 17 by means of lateral pins at its pivot point. The handle 17 is moulded on to a hollow cylinder which also contains the dropper nozzle 15 at its lower end, so that with few parts and low assembly expense the valve needle with extra steam device can be produced as one constructional group. <IMAGE> |
