PURPOSE:To eliminate temperature variations in a wire rod coil, and to uniformly cool or heat the whole coil, by blasting a heat exchanging medium of gas toward the inside from the outside of the coil. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanging medium of gas is blasted into a space between the outside circumference of a coil 2 in a blast frame 3 and its frame 3, by a blower 1, from which it is passed through between the wire rods of the coil 2, and is fed into the space of the coil center part. Subsequently, it is led into a duct 5, preventing its carry-over by a hood 4, and the medium is cooled or heated by a heat excahange part 6. According to this method, the fact that the heat transfer quantity of the inside of the coil, which is generated by a coefficient of heat transfer is larger than that of the outside, and the fact that the heat transfer quantity of the outside is larger than the inside of the coil, which is generated by feeding in the medium from the outside of the coil are offset. Accordingly, the whole coil 2 can be heat-treated uniformly. |
