PURPOSE:To prepare a water-based ink composition having improved storage stability, emitting strong fluorescence, and suitable for a felt-pen, etc., by adding a specific polyhydric alcohol to an ink composed of a water-soluble fluorescent dye, a wetting agent, and water. CONSTITUTION:The objective ink composition is obtained by mixing (A) a water- soluble fluorescent dye such as rhodamine 6GCP (C.I. Basic Red 1), etc., (B) a wetting agent, (C) water, and (D) a polyhydric alcohol of formula I or formula II (R1 and R2 are 4-15C and 6-15C aliphatic hydrocarbons, respectively) (pref. a hindered alcohol such as trimethylol propane). The pref. amounts of (A), (B) and (D) are 0.001-10wt%, 5-30wt%, and 5-40wt%, and the remainder is water. |
