PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of an arm for coupling an armature to a typing wire and to increase the strength of the arm by forming the arm of a thin hollow pipe and machining the end of the pipe in a flat shape. CONSTITUTION:The base end of an arm 12, on which a typing wire 1 is mounted at the end, is secured to an armature 3 made of a magnetic material, the armature 3 is supported through a spring 4 to a yoke 5 so as to finely move, the armature 3 is driven by energizing a solenoid 6 mounted to the yoke 5. Thus, in a typing head for typing via the wire, the arm 12 is formed of a thin hollow pipe, and is machined flatly gradually increasing toward the end and hence the wire 1. |
