PURPOSE:To manufacture a titled head at a low cost while keeping the performance, by giving a shape to bonding part between a main core and a gap core so that the leaked magnetic flux of the gap is minimized. CONSTITUTION:As for a main core 2, a magnetic substance such as ferrite with easy press processing is used, and in the press step, an inside projection to reduce leakage flux is formed at both open sides of E-shape is formed. On the other hand, a notch 10 is formed at a flat surface of a gape core 1 opposing to the main core 2. Although the inside projection 11 is additionally provided in the main core 2, the processing cost is unchanged in comparison with conventional processes. Further, a magnetic material with wear resistance such as ''Sendust '' which is difficult for processing is used for the gap core 1, but the processing is easy because a notch is made only at the flat surface. The main core 2 and the gap core 1 thus processed are combined and inserted and fixed in a shield case 5, and a gap 3 is formed by polishing the gap core 1. |
