PURPOSE:To improve work efficiency by combining a laser oscillator and a mask pattern. CONSTITUTION:A laser oscillator 1, a converging lens 4 that converges the laser light 7 emitted from the laser oscillator 1, a mask pattern 10 that cuts off the laser light 7 in specified parts and transmits the light in other parts, a measure 12 that holds a work 11 behind the mask pattern 10 and way from in said pattern, and a mask pattern supporting mechanism 9 that moves the work 11 and the mask pattern 10 in a body relatively to the laser beam 7 so that the laser light 7 scans over the mask pattern 10 are provided. Accordingly, when the laser light 7 is being emitted, it becomes as if a converged laser light 8 scans the mask pattern 10, and characters on the mask pattern 10 are embossed on the face of the work held by a support 12. |
