PURPOSE:To measure the image resolution of the secondary scanning direction through a display device, by storing the temporary signal obtained from a plane scan and producing repetitively the temporary signal. CONSTITUTION:A pattern group is printed on an original D in the secondary scanning direction. The light of a lamp LP irradiates the upper surface of the original D, and this reflected light is given to an optical sensor SS. The sensor SS transmits the output signal of each converting element to an amplifier AMP synchronously with the clock signal given from a sensor driving circuit DR. The video signal amplified by the amplifier AMP is sampled by a sample holding circuit SH. The output of the circuit SH is converted into a digital signal of (n) bits by an A/D converter ADC and stored in a memory ME. When the main scan of prescribed times is over, the memory ME is changed to a read-out mode. The address signal is read out of an ADD and applied to a synchroscope via a D/A convertr DAC to be displayed. According to the conents of the display, the image resolution of the secondary scanning direction can be measured. |
