PURPOSE:To provide a captioned press capable of rapidly exchanging molds by a simple operation and safely vulcanizing a tire by providing a pressure liquid feeding and exhausting pilot operation check valve at a hydraulic cylinder which clamps a mold. CONSTITUTION:When molds 8, 13 are exchanged, clamping bolts are removed, the molds are conveyed out, new upper and lower molds 8, 13 are conveyed into a press, are centered, and are clamped with bolts. When the molds are higher than the old molds, a solenoid 36 is energized to open a pilot operation check valve 29, and liquid in a lower liquid chamber 28 is exhausted by the downward force of a beam 5. When the new molds are lower than the old molds, a solenoid 37 is energized to fill hydraulic pressure from a hydraulic source 38 to the lower liquid chamber 28, thereby lifting the molds. Supplied hydraulic pressure is limited so as not to raise the beam 5 by the pressure. |
