<p>PURPOSE:To improve easiness of assembly and sealing performance, by embedding a flexible metallic material into an elastic sealing member, extrusion molding the elastic sealing member in a belt shaped state further foldably to the direction of width, and then further folding finally forming a cover edge protruding element holding slit between laterally of the both sides. CONSTITUTION:An elastic sealing material 3, embedded with a flexible metallic member 9, is extrusion molded to belt shape further curved with a laterally intermediate part to be a bottom. then the extrusion molded article is further folded by using internal and external molds to shape with the laterally intermediate part to a deeper bottom, and a holding slit 10, for internally fitting and holding a protursive stripe, provided along a vehicle roof opening or cover unit edge, is formed by lateral both end parts 4a, 4a. In this constitution, a less folding amount is required after extrusion molding, and a molding error can be decreased, then accuracy is improved, thus assembly work is facilitated, further sealing performance can be improved.</p> |
