PURPOSE:To perform complex machining by providing a tool spindle rotatably held by a tool spindle head, with its axis kept perpendicular to the Y axis, and a lock mechanism blocking the rotation of the tool spindle. CONSTITUTION:A tool spindle head 19 rotatably holds a tool spindle 27 having an axis perpendicular to the B axis 18, and a tool 28 can be fitted at the tip of the tool spindle 27. A bevel gear 29 is fitted to the outer periphery of the tool spindle 27, on the other hand, a drive shaft 30 is rotatably held coaxially with the B axis 18. A bevel gear 31 engaged with the bevel gear 29 of the tool spindle 27 is fitted at its tip. A tool spindle gear box 33 is fixed at the rear end of a Y axis slide 13, and a hollow drive shaft 84 provided with large and small gears 34A, 34B is rotatably held on the tool spindle gear box 33. |
