A cabinet (1) for a time-space-time connection system has a drawer (2) containing the safety units of the time type forming the input and output time stages. A second drawer (3) contains the space units while a third drawer (4) contains the safety units comprising a selection stage which ensures sharing of communication between two branches of a connection network. A fourth drawer (5) contains the flag unit which provides control for the safety units in the cabinet. The control unit comprises two calculators to each of which a flag unit is coupled. These flag units communicate with the safety units in the cabinet and with the central control unit (6) for the auto commutator. They also communicate with the safety units in adjacent cabinets.
