PURPOSE:To rapidly open and close a slide door and to use a low power linear motor for driving the slide door, by auxiliarily driving the door with a reduction motor incorporated in a speed change mechanism during automatic door opening and closing operation. CONSTITUTION:A linear motor 13 and a reduction motor incorporated in a speed change mechanism having a high reduction ratio are operated in association with the operation of a touch sensor provided in a door box 8. In this arrangement, a pinion fitted on the output shaft of the reduction motor is meshed with a lack which is linked at its right end with a pressing rod 22 directed rightward. When the pressing door 22 is pushed in a direction in which a door 10 is opened, so that a spring urges the pressing rod 22 in a direction in which the pressing door 22 is extended, the door 10 starts to rapidly move by the drive forces of the linear motor 13 and the reduction motor. After the achievement up to a desired travel speed in a brief time, the operation of the reduction motor is stopped while the movement of the door 10 is maintained under the drive of the linear motor 13. When a limit switch detects the full opening of the door, reverse current is applied to the coil of the linear motor 13 so that the door 10 is moved in the closing direction. |
