PURPOSE:To obtain the small-sized pocketable or the like titled device, by using electromagnetic coupling as a reception coupling system, in a portable type modulation and demodulation device used for a data transmission service using a telephone line, etc. CONSTITUTION:Main body of a modulation and demodulation device 9 has a transmitter of a handset 2, and a magnetic pickup 11 is fitted near the receiver of the handset 2 with adsorption, etc. A transmission data is modulated with the main body 9 and enters the transmitter of the handset 2 as sound from a transmission speaker 10 and is transmitted via a telephone line. The received data is picked up with a magnetic pickup 11 fitted near the receiver of the handset 2 by means of the adsorption through electromagnetic coupling and transmitted to a terminal device DTE(not shown) via a connector 12 through demodulation at the main body 9. |
