PURPOSE:To provide an ammonia decomposition catalyst with which ammonia decomposition reaction can be carried out under the high pressure and low temperature conditions using vapor pressure of liquid ammonia and thus with which hydrogen is separated from ammonia decomposition gas by PSA method while utilizing the pressure at the time. CONSTITUTION:This ammonia decomposition catalyst is a cobalt-lanthanum- based catalyst composed of 5-50wt.% of cobalt, 2-30wt.% (calculated as lanthanum oxide) of lanthanum, and balance a carrier. The ammonia decomposition catalyst is also a cobalt-lanthanum-based catalyst composed of 5-50wt.% of cobalt, 2-30wt.% (calculated as lanthanum oxide) of lanthanum, 0.01-3wt.% of a platinum-group element, and balance a carrier. |
