PURPOSE:To process in real time for the information designated the area with a simple constitution, by designating the area with a plurality of colors other than the printing colors and processing the printed data within the designated area based on the color data in response of the plurality of colors. CONSTITUTION:A reflected light LM from an original MAT designated for the area with a plurality of specific colors of a loop with a prescribed thickness reaches photoelectric converters PHB and PHR via reflecting mirrors RM1 and RM2, an image forming lens LNS, and a beam splitter BS. Red and blue signals photoelectrically converted at the converters are binarized (CDR, CDB), applied to a color discriminator DMC and blue data DBU, red data DRE and black data DBK are generated. After the blue and red data being the area designation data are respectively compressed (CDM, CDS; CDMR, CDSR) toward the main and subscanning direction, the data are stored in line memories ML1-ML3, ML1R- ML3R and the limit of the designated area is detected with edge detectors EDE and EDER. |
