PURPOSE:To provide a sufficient bond condition and improved water-proof and corrosion-proof effects by adopting bond through bent portions. CONSTITUTION:An outer pannel 2 to be hemmed with an inner pannel 1 is positioned above it. The periphery 12mm. inwards from the rim of the inner pannel 1 is to be subjected to hemming and bend is formed inside through the vicinity of the rim. The bend is angled approximately 45 deg. and terminated at a point where a fall of the gradient is approximately 2mm., and follows a parallel face with the periphery thereof. A proper quantity of bond 3 is applied on the face of the formed bend opposite to the outer pannel 2. The bond 3 penetrates into a space between the inner pannel 1 and the outer pannel 2, achieving sufficient bonding. The bond is left as a cake, thereby providing a prominent water-proof effect. |
