PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts required for a ribbon cartridge and make the construction easy to assemble, by fitting a clip to an upper part of a ribbon spool on one side. CONSTITUTION:The clip 30 consists of a single metallic wire bent to clamp an upper part of the ribbon spool 26 on one side. The clip 30 is comprised of a holding part 30a which is substantially U-shaped in proximity to the upper part of the spool 26, engaging parts which are extended from the holding part 30a while being slightly bent and are elastically fitted into an annular groove 26a provided along the circumferential surface of the upper part of the spool 26, and a pair of bent parts 30c, 30d which are extended from the engaging parts in radial directions beyond a wound ribbon 24 and have tips bent toward a lower case 22. Accordingly, the number of parts is reduced and the cost is reduced by the construction wherein the clip 30 is simply fitted to the ribbon spool 26 and a back tension is imparted to the ribbon 24 being fed. |
