The weapon has a high rate of fire and is for large calibre cartridges. It uses a control rod (12), forming a gas piston, to position the cartridge (28) in a chamber (7), under the action of an accelerator lever (18). The chamber moves vertically to be co-axial with the barrel (2). The accelerator lever has a pawl (17) on it which places the round (28) in its chamber. The pawl is actuated by a pin (27) and a curved guide. The accelerator lever also follows a curved guide (20) with the help of a roller (19).
