PURPOSE:To shorten the recording and reproducing time, by providing another head fixed to a sub-carriage supported so as to be slidable by a main carriage to which a head has been fixed, and using 2 heads alternately. CONSTITUTION:To a main carriage 104 to which a head 105 has been fixed, a sub-carriage 107 to which a head 108 has been fixed is installed so as to be slidable. A tension spring 111 draws the sub-carriage 107 toward the side of a stopper 110. In this state, the head 108 is adjusted so as to be positioned on the right by a distance of 1 track portion from the head 105. A clamp bar 112 is separated from the sub-carriage 107 by an action of a tension spring 113, but when a driving coil 114 is operated, it is pressed against the sub-carriage 107, and the sub-carriage 107 is fixed. In this way, when the sub-carriage 107 is fixed or released by the clamp bar 112 and the heads 105, 108 are switched and used, each track is read out in order, and the time is shortened. |
