PURPOSE:To enable discrimination of the phase and frequency difference by comparing output signals according to a reference phase signal and a phase detection signal to retain the output at a specified value. CONSTITUTION:Repetition period of output signals of a trigger pulse generation circuit 100 depending on a reference phase signal PR and the repetition period of outputs of a trigger pulse generation circuit 200 depending on a phase detection signal PD are compared 500 and digital outputs depending on a phase difference between both signals are obtained only when the frequency of the reference phase signal equals the frequency of the phase detection signal. When the frequency of the phase detection signal is higher than the frequency of the reference phase signal, the output is retained at its minimum while when it lower, the output is retained at its maximum. |
