The invention relates to a sensor device of simple construction, with which it is possible to detect two different types of marks which are provided on a component moving relative to the sensor device and which influence magnetic force lines in their vicinity. The two types of marks move past the sensor device along different tracks. The sensor device is formed by a core of permanently magnetic or magnetisable material, which has two end faces, which are located at a short distance from one of the tracks of travel, in each case. The core carries a coil, from which it is possible to tap an alternating- voltage signal which has plainly different amplitudes in accordance with the two types of marks.
