The invention relates to a rotary disc for the deposition of a sliver in a spinning can with an eccentric feed opening for the sliver and an eccentrically arranged deposition point. The latter consists of a clamping gap which continuously discharges the sliver and is formed from a hollow cylinder arranged fixed concentrically to the feed opening and of a clamping roll which circulates with the rotary disc in a planetary manner and is supported frictionally with respect to the interior surface of the hollow cylinder. As a consequence, the clamping gap extends vertically and the sliver is fed thereto via a sliver channel starting from the feed point. <IMAGE>
