Brick-splitting tool with a splitting wedge (10) which is arranged in a tool holder and consists of at least two individual splitting wedges (34, 36, 38, 40, 42) movable relative to one another in the splitting or effective direction, these individual splitting wedges being coupled to one another in such a way that the displacement of one splitting wedge causes a displacement of the other splitting wedge or wedges in the opposite direction. Through this design of the splitting wedge (10), it readily adapts itself to uneven brick surfaces. <IMAGE>
