A safety parking light circuit in a combined direction indicator light/parking light steering column switch for motor vehicles is proposed, a compact design which requires few individual components and satisfactory operation being ensured by the arrangement of the contact bridge, provided for the parking light, in a sliding element which is held movably on the switching element of the switch.
