Composite stone and paving produced therefrom

The invention relates to a composite stone for thoroughfares, especially footpaths. This composite stone is to make special formats for kerbstones, starting stones and end stones superfluous. For this, it consists of a pentagonal stone obtained by the transverse bisection of a hexagonal stone and having side edges of equal length and ridge edges of equal length. From this can be formed a paving, in which two respective composite stones joined together at their base edges to form a hexagon are laid in the paving in such a way that their side edges aligned with one another bear against a ridge edge of an adjacent composite stone. The kerbstones can themselves be formed by composite stones or bisected composite stones.
