<p>The invention relates to an improved impact-resistant double-glass structure which comprises a rear laminate arranged on the opposite side to the impact direction and comprising a multiplicity of layers selected from polycarbonate, glass and solid resin materials, and a front glass laminate arranged in front of the rear laminate and comprising a multiplicity of glass sheets, including a relatively thin front glass sheet, which is in the direction of the impact, having a thickness of from about 0.762 to about 5.588 mm (30 to about 220 mil), a relatively thin rear glass sheet having a thickness in the range from 0.762 to about 5.588 mm (30 to about 220 mil) arranged on the opposite side to the direction of impact, and a relatively thick glass core arranged between the relatively thin rear glass sheet and the front glass sheet.</p> |
