HEAT EXCHANGER HAVING INCLINED TUBES

The heat exchanger comprises a series of closely spaced fins defining a core. An elongate tube extends through the fins of the core, being spaced from the inlet surface. The tube has a transverse axis orientated at 100-120 deg. to the axis of the core. Another set of fins can define a second core, which also has an elongate tube passed through it. The two cores are angularly orientated in a 'V'-configuration with the inner adjacent ends spaced by 2-10 mm. Each of the fins is truncated at the corner defined by the inlet surface and outlet end.
