PURPOSE:To enable a printer to be easily attached and to attain miniaturization thereof and high density attachment by a method wherein a heating function part and a drive circuit system are connected by forming a wiring pattern with laser cutting after printing of all the surface of metals. CONSTITUTION:A heating function part 2 is arranged on the edge face of a substrate 3, and a drive circuit system 4 containing a driving 1C 5 is arranged on the flat face of another substrate. The functional part 2 and the drive circuit system 4 are connected by forming a wiring pattern by cutting with a laser after effecting printing or plating of gold all over the surface. Since a drive circuit wiring 11 and a common wiring 10 can have enough wiring width as compared with that for the heating part, and also, they have an enough wiring interval, cutting with the laser do no cause trouble. Since a direct motion area is comparatively small in such a side face-type thermal recording head, a cassette for transfer film can be made also smaller and is easily mounted on a printer or the like. It can be miniaturized and the high density attachment can be achieved. |
