Roof-border cladding with gravel stop, retaining means and carrier profile on which the roofing skin rests. The retaining means have a supporting part with oblique leg and with carrier part which is vertically adjustable thereon and has an upper web part and a lower clamping spring. A U-shaped retaining profile, which rests on the roofing skin in the manner of a cap and is retained by the web parts in this way, runs beneath the web parts and above the carrier profile. The basic profile on the carrier profile has continuous guide channels at the top and bottom, into which the retaining means, which are butt-connectors at the same time, engage displaceably on the border side. The unclamped roofing skin can work freely, as can the other roof-border cladding parts. Adaptation to different cross-section thicknesses and roof-covering layers is possible by adjusting the retaining means. The roofing skin is retained securely even when the gravel stop has not yet been fitted.
