<p>Tool diameter correcting method for a numerical control device, which, when machining a workpiece in three-dimensional machining using a tool, can calculate tool central position coordinates Pi offset by the radius r of the tool in the direction normal to the machining surface from position information P1, Pc, P2 it is given. This method has the steps of obtaining a unit offset vector Vi from a plane derived from vectors U, V normal to first and second machining surfaces at a three-dimensional corner point Pc from the position information P1, Pc, P2, correcting the axial components of the unit offset vector Vi so that the tool center moves along a curve which continues smoothly from the tool central trace around the corner point Pc, and obtaining the tool central position coordinates Pi from the corrected unit offset vector Vi', the tool radius r and the three-dimensional corner point position information Pc.</p> |
