The hat has a central disc (3) and a crown (2) which are made in fabric and are stitched together round their circumference. The crown is joined to a central part (1) which goes round the head whose diameter is less than that of the fabric. A frame (4), which forms a spring, is fixed round the outer perimeter of the crown. The central part can be a flat elastic tape which can be inside a sheath. The spring can be a piano string which is threaded through a sheath between the disc and the crown. ADVANTAGE - The hat can be folded up and transformed into various shapes.
