The device for detecting and accumulating telluric radiation includes a wave receiver (2) in contact with an accumulation device which consists of a material (4) which absorbs gamma rays. The gamma ray absorber may be sodium iodide, surrounded by an envelope made from a hydrocarbon derivative material such as bitumen. The wave receiver includes an electrical conductor (7) which passes through the material. The receiver may be placed in a subterranean water course, in order to absorb harmful radiation being emitted from the water. ADVANTAGE - Collector is able to absorb harmful radiation which may otherwise be a danger to physical and psychological well-being of living beings.
