<p>A cane chopper/shredder of a cane harvester has a rotary cutter (18) in the form of a drum (18a) provided with a plurality of blades (19) secured thereto. The rotary cutter (18) is driven by a reversible hydraulic motor (40). Housing portions (24) are provided on opposite sides of the rotary cutter (18) and define outlet apertures (30) at opposite sides of the rotary cutter (18) for discharge of cuttings to a respective side of the cane harvester dependent upon the direction of rotation of the rotary cutter (18).</p> |
