PURPOSE:To reduce the number of MOS transistors and speed up operation by constituting an input circuit of a counter without using an NOR gate. CONSTITUTION:Each stage A-E of a counter consists of MOS transistors M1- M4, an NAND gate N1, an NOR gate N2, etc. Outputs (a)-(d) from respective stages are applied to the gates of N-channel MOS transistors 11a-11d and their source are connected in common and connected to the drain of a p-channel MOS transistor. At the start of the counter, the outputs (a)-(d) of respective stages are ''0'' and 11a-11b are off. If reset signal inversion RESET is turned to ''H'' and an MOS transistor 13 is turned on, ''1'' is applied to the input terminal of A and then the reset signal disappears. |
