The invention relates to the domain of office technology, in this case to small office devices in particular. The predominant, discontinuous single-piece method used for producing these devices (punches) is replaced by methods which are more economical when the devices are produced in large numbers. Extrusion moulding and injection moulding are included in these methods. In order to be able to use these technologies, the punch mechanism is designed in accordance with the loose roll principle and the punch is divided up into supporting and non-supporting parts. The latter are finish-mounted without reworking as semifinished products which are cut to length and/or as plastic preforms. The exploded drawing shows the basic structure of the punch. The compact, modern shape means that this punch can be used for a wide range of applications, in the office, as a second device at home, or as a promotional gift. <IMAGE>
