A contraceptive device for insertion in the uterus having the shape of a "T" or of a "7" is proposed. In one embodiment, copper sleeves are threaded on a nylon thread which is located in a casting mould. Polyethylene coming into engagement with the copper sleeves is injected into the casting mould and around the thread. The polyethylene has a lower melting point than the thread. In another embodiment a copper coil is formed over a section of a spaghetti-like or tubular Teflon structure and is cut into pieces. The combination of tubular structure and coil is placed in a T-shaped casting mould, and a second plastic part having a lower melting point than Teflon is introduced by injection moulding through the spaghetti-like or tubular structure, the latter forming an external frame. <IMAGE>
