发明名称 METHOD FOR ADJUSTING ZERO POINT OF RATE SENSOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy in adjusting the zero point of the rate sensor by averaging the detected yaw rate value which is outputted from the rate sensor when a mobile body such as an automobile is stopped, and subtracting it from the output of the rate sensor at the time of running. CONSTITUTION:The states of running and stop of the mobile body are detected in response to the presence or absence of the output of a distance sensor 4 which generates a pulse signal at every unit distance of the mobile body such as the automobile. Then the output of the rate sensor 1 mounted on the mobile body is sampled during the period immediately after the detection of the stop to a time immediately before the detection of the running, and the averaging process is performed through a signal processor 8 and the like. The obtained average value is made to be a drift vale. Said drift value is subtracted from the deviation angle detected by the rate sensor. In this way, the drift value of the rate sensor due to the natural vibration of the mobile body can be accurately detected without the effect of disturbance such as wind. Thus the zero point adjustment of the rate sensor can be performed highly accurately.
