PURPOSE:To control the inhibition of the erasure of recording information corresponding to a playback signal, by reproducing an erasure permission and inhibition information signal by a pickup for the erasure of recording information on a recording medium on which the erasure permission and inhibition information signal is recorded. CONSTITUTION:By the signal os a recording commanding circuit 23, a carriage motor fast-forwarding commanding circuit 24 operates to move a laser spot to an innermost circumference, and a position sensor 30 sends out a stop command to the commanding circuit 24. This signal is inputted to a carriage motor constant-speed commanding circuit 26, and then a carriage motor is driven at a constant-speed to start signal reading. Information read by a pickup 20 is inputted to an erasure flag detector 21 after waveform processing, etc., and when an erasure flag in a prescribed pattern is detected, a detection signal is sent out to an AND gate 22. The AND gate 22 uses the detection signal to discriminate a recording state and when the erasure flag is set, a signal is sent out to a failure processing circuit 25 to perform display, the stopping of the carriage motor, etc. |
