PURPOSE:To improve the brittleness of a cantilever with high specific modulus of elasticity by coating the external circumference of the pipelike cantilever body made of boron or boride with resin, and packing resin in it. CONSTITUTION:The external circumference of a cantilever body 9 made of boron in a pipe shape is coated with resin 10, and resin 11 is packed in the cantilever body 9. Epoxy resin is used favorably as the resin materials 10 and 11, but any resin having excellent adhesive strength with the boron is usable. In addition, the resin materials 10 and 11 may be different. Consequently, an impact applied to the cantilever body 9 is absorbed by the external resin 10 and the cantilever body 9 is reinforced by the internal resin 11, thereby making the cantilever 9 hard to break because of improved brittleness. |
