PURPOSE:To efficiently form a monkey wrench without using an expensive exclusive machine in such a way that a fixed claw of a monkey wrench is milling-machined, and a guide groove of a moving claw is press-formed. CONSTITUTION:When forming a monkey wrench, for a start, the inside 3 of a fixed claw 1 is cut by means of a vertical milling machine, the guide face 4 of a moving claw for the fixed claw 1 is cut likewise by means of a horizontal milling machine 8, then, the center part at the lower end of the guide face 4 is made a hole 10 using a drill 9, and finally a first small groove 6' for the guide groove of the moving claw is formed by means of a punch 11a equipped with cutting edge which is attached to a metal mold of an ordinary press machine in the condition that a guide 12 is inserted into the guide path 5 of the moving claw. Subsequently, the small groove 6' is widened to be made into the desired size of a guide groove by means of a large punch. |
