<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate an adverse effect on the alignment, steepness, etc., of a liquid crystal during driving conventionally occurring in a color filter of the so-called under ITO type by reducing the thickness of the color filter to thereby decrease the electrical resistance attributable to the color filter layer while keeping or improving its color characteristics. CONSTITUTION:The production process of color filter comprises applying a photosensitive coloring composition containing a dispersed pigment to a substrate to form a coating film thereon, exposing the coating film to light, developing the film to form a transparent colored image of a specified pattern, and further coloring the formed image with a dye.</p> |
