A holding tube (40) is mounted in a base (3) in a manner such that it can be transferred from its use position (solid lines) into a rest position (dot-dash lines). In both positions it can be releasably locked by a bar (43). A massaging body (5) which can be releasably inserted into the holding tube (40) can, if appropriate, be retracted in the base (3) together with the holding tube (40). A heel depression (6) can be provided as a support. The massage device, which can preferably be combinable with a foot roller, permits selective pressure massaging, for example a foot reflex zone massage, the retractability of the massaging body (5) and the arrangement of further massaging bodies (5') being utilisable in a particular manner. <IMAGE>
