MANUFACTURE OF SIPE FORMING EDGE FOR TIRE MOLDING METAL MOLD

PURPOSE:To provide the method for manufacturing a sipe forming edge for molds for tires molding which is excellent in productivity wherein a sipe forming edge having a high cracking preventive effect is enabled to be easily manufactured. CONSTITUTION:An edge part of a thin metal sheet 2 is melted along its longitudinal direction, and the melted metal is molded to a cylindrical form of a diameter larger than a thickness of the metal sheet 2 by surface tension. Then, it is solidified by cooling.
