The invention relates to a heat-insulating profile body, e.g. for door frames or window frames, in which metal profile rails are connected to one another by means of insulating strips, forming a cavity in the process. The cavity is filled with a foam composition. Insulating strips have a connecting web which is anchored in grooves of the profile rails and is subjected to tensile loading when the foam composition expands. The forces which are exerted by the foam composition and which would bend or tilt the connecting strips and thus warp the profile body are intercepted by projections or webs of the insulating strips which are supported on inner surfaces of the profile rails.
