This invention relates to hydraulic control systems and especially to such systems for controlling braking, power steering and other ancillary equipment on motor vehicles. In particular a hydraulic control system according to the invention comprises two hydraulic circuits of which one is a constant pressure circuit and the two hydraulic circuits are interconnectable via a diverter valve operable to divert hydraulic fluid from one circuit to the other circuit when the pressure within the constant pressure circuit falls outside predetermined limits.
