PURPOSE:To measure the average density of fluid to be measured with good accuracy by providing plural sets of radiation transmission type density meters and calculating the average value thereof. CONSTITUTION:Plural sets of radiation transmission type density meters 5 each consisting of a radiation source vessel 3 and a radiation detector 4 detecting the radiations transmitting through fluid 2 to be measured are disposed on the outside part of a transport pipe 1 on the same cross section. The respective measured values of such meters 5 are inputted to an average value calculating means 6, by which an average value is obtained, whereby the average density of the fluid 2 in the pipe 1 is measured with high accuracy even with the uneven densities of the fluid to be measured. |
