PURPOSE:To enable to dissipate the wave energy efficiently, by converting wave energy into flow energy by utilizing freely deformed fluid chambers as an energy converter. CONSTITUTION:Flow of work fluid is caused through a pipe 5 by a pressure difference 2DELTAP across the opposite ends of the pipe 5. Resultantly, a left fluid chamber 1 is contracted into a shape shown by a numeral 3 in the drawing, while a right fluid chamber 2 is expanded into the shape shown by a numeral 4, increasing the volume equal to that lost from the left fluid chamber 1. That is, an amount of work fluid equal to the differential volume of the shapes 1 and 3 of the left fluid chamber or that of the shapes 2 and 4 of the right fluid chamber is passed through the pipe 5 from left to right in a direction shown by arrows in the drawing. Thus, by making the fluid chambers function as an energy converter, wave energy can be dissipated and converted efficiently into flow energy of work fluid. |
