PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductive wire for a test of stress having the same characteristics to a practical superconductive wire, by embedding plural superconductive core and a normal conductive wire having similar coefficient of heat contraction and mechanical strength to said core wire in a metallic matrix. CONSTITUTION:1,000 pieces Nb rods 2 are arranged on the circumference of a circle near outermost layer of a matrix 1 made of Cu-Sn alloy. A Nb3SN layer 3 is formed on the surface of the rod 2. 9,000 pieces Nb rods 2 are arranged in the inner part of the matrix 1 and a Ta barrier 8 is covered on its surface. It has 1,000A current capacity at 10 tesla in case of 6mm.phi wire diameter. Also, a wire rod having 10,000A large current capacity at 10 tesla is obtained by forming the Nb3SN layer on all surface of 10,000 pieces Nb rods 2. |
