PURPOSE:To facilitate the starting of the engine and reduce the vibration as well as the noise of the engine by a method wherein a sub opening and closing valve, operating by the cooling water temperature of the engine, is annexed to an air suction tube and the suction air choking amount is decreased when the engine is cool. CONSTITUTION:Upon starting of the engine, an idling switch 6 is closed, a switching valve 15 is operated, an actuator 13 is operated to rotate the shaft 7 of the opening and closing valve 8 and a first air suction port 5 is totally closed. On the other hand, the cooling water of the engine is being cooled, a thermo-wax is not inflated and a rod 22 is not operated, therefore, a choke valve 18 is not operated and a second air suction port 6 is kept in a fully opened condition. When the temperature of the cooling water of the engine is risen, the thermo-wax is inflated in accompanied with the rising thereof and the rod 22 is ascended gradually whereby the choke valve 18 closes the second air suction port gradually. |
